All current Browning pumps and autoloaders have excessively heavy triggers and need trigger work very, very badly. A recoil spring for a browning auto-5 "light-12" is only about $16, and would likely solve your problems, although a mag-12 like you own is one of the worst you could get for shooting skeet or sporting clays anyway. Jun 25, 2012 · Browning Auto 5 problems. I just picked up a 1950 Auto 5 that seems to have multiple problems. It won't eject fired shells and when you manually eject... the next shell feeds but the one in line afterwards dumps out the bottom. I was able to disassemble the gun and cleaned and oiled it well but it didn't help much.

Nov 29, 2020 · Rudolph31 .30-06. You’re saying Trigger when you mean Trigger Plate, though in your case you replaced both. In the OP’s case, he’s got the new Trigger and Safety. His gun is sort of unique in that it’s got Speed Load but uses the old Carrier Spring. That only occurred 1953-57.

As was mentioned above, there's rarely a reason to totally disassemble an auto-5. It's easy to take the stock off to get to the return spring, and trigger assembly out, and barrel off, and recoil spring assembly. You just need a good set of screwdrivers to keep from buggering up the screw heads.
