This beastly-looking set is no frills, but it lets you tank anything head-on for a good portion of the game. For the early- to mid-game, it’s hard to find better protection when wearing a full set. Dragonscale Armor also gets bonus points for being one of the cooler looking sets in Skyrim. I want to be finding new armors in loot and npcs; I don't want to just spawn in myself one (very cool looking) armor set that I'll use for the whole playthrough.Ancient Nord armor isn't too bad either. Probably looks better on females though. It looks decent when paired with an adept hood. Daedric. Dwarven and Nordic are my personal favorites. To me the best looking armors are Ebony and Dwarven armors. Deadric is a solid third. It's just slightly less practical.

Armor of the old gods seems to be what your looking for. The forsworn armor was the first thing that came to mind. Check out the Falmer armor sets, they look really cool. Bonemold, Dragonbone and Daedric (or a mashup of those) might look good too. If you have Saints and Seducers, I’d suggest Amber Armor.
