Estoc dark souls.

Piercing Swords are long and thin blades specifically focused on thrust and counter combat. They are a good choice for attacking heavy armored foes, as their attacks will break Poise and deal critical damage. What do you all think about the estoc? I have it upgraded +10 with darkness but i can't seem to hit high. Also i have 18 dex and 40 strength since estoc scales better with strenght. Shall i go for lighting, bleed, magic?So i looked up on the wiki that i can either buy it from the gareit guy once i unlock him or i can kill him and give the ashes to the shrinemaided. i chose the obvious path of killing him and gave the ashes but i cant buy the estoc. Its not even in the shop.I love seeing people try to land those RT chains in PvP, it's very easy to get out of the way and punish them for trying to land all 5-6. For main hand I think the others are better. Estoc looks silly but is undoubtedly better than the rapier. Uses the same amount of stamina per swing but does more damage and has the range of a spear, so it's basically a straight up upgrade. My guy uses an enchanted estoc +4, I don't think there's any other weapon that's exactly quite like it. I'm 2 bells in, doing hollow / ash lake before sen's and so far so good. Okay. My guess is that the tracking somehow favors stabby weapons in laggy conditions, this doesn't apply just to Estoc but Rapier too. Dark Sword's range isn't as far as the Estoc, it's also not as fast, and doesn't primarily deal the thrusting damage that the Estoc does for doling out huge counter damage. It's insanely good, and would be ridiculous in its own right in any other souls game, but it's not Estoc good.

Dark infused estoc? I use a hex mage so I already set him up with a dark estoc. :) The rapier only needs 5str 12dex, where the estoc requires 12/12, but yh it wasn't really a serious suggestion as it all depends on preference, if you don't like the parry on R2 the rapier is no good tbh.

Ricard's is the kind of balanced one if it takes a semblance of skill to use. All the rapiers are op. Estoc simply the best of them. Frayed blade is by far and away the best …It's usually 14/16 str 40 dex/45 str or 27/28 str 40/45 dex for a quality. Or 40/40. That said, if you just wanna use the estoc, base str is perfect, as that e contributes nothing. I recommend 16 str to have access to the chaos blade and silver knight spear.
