I haven't been able to get greenshine in the same place twice. Making a job seems to not all ways work because it takes you to places that you already been and collected a slab. So the wiki page says it's currently undetermined if there is enough greenshine slabs in the game to fully upgrade all weapons.

I'm 99% sure it doesn't respawn as when I revisit old areas (and I do this a lot) there's no Greenshine to be found. There's 4 types of Greenshine: Shard > Fragment > Chunk > Slab (Very Dark Souls lol) They can be close to points of interest or hidden in some cave of cliff. No map for their locations, even Tallnecks don't show them.
