HZ311 is furnace only heating. So no heat pumps, unless someone McGuyvere'd something to work. When HZ311 is calling for heat, if you check AC voltage between R & W on the equipment section, you should read 0VAC. That is when the heat light is on. If you get this reading, it's something in the furnace.

I have a Honeywell HZ311 zone controller. T-stats call for AC and equipment outputs do not do anything. If I wire direct, no problem. Seems like HZ311 ignores t-stat calls.
