The FPJ breech plugs bleed off pressure out the nipple, and one thing BH209 needs is contained pressure for best results. With a 12ga (0.720"-0.730") bore, once the shot cup starts moving the powder needs to continue to build pressure, and the more it moves, the harder it gets.Jan 16, 2012. #11. The nipple is for #11 percussion cap and is not hex, it has 2 flat sides. I removed the breech plug with a drift punch and careful taps. The slots are in good condition.
