Getting a slip in the Mackinac Island State Docks is always a crap shoot. On a busy weekend, there will be NO open slips available. When this is the case, count on Mackinac City and St. Ignace being full as well. I'm not sure what Mackinac Island reservation policy is, A few years ago (back in 1998) they weren't taking any reservations.
