tachiyomi, Well. its not exactly hard to get a cheap android device just for the job. :) I had a spare tablet loaded with downloads - so when mangadex went down - i had enough stashed away to read until it came back up. I used syncthing to sync the manga to my PC for longer term archives. There are ways to run android apps on PCs. Happy Hunting.

You can just open the MangaDex catalogue, select any random manga, select "open in web view" from the three dots menu, then log on with your MangaDex account from the clogs menu in the top right. Once that's done head into Tachiyomi, settings, and create backup. Then go over to Mihon, settings, press restore backup and choose the backup you'd just made with Tachiyomi. That's all there is to install. For the extension list just search Google for "Mihon(Or Tachiyomi) extension list" then pick the first results that lead to GitHub.
