Got to the barrel pin, gave it a few good whacks with a sledge hammer and punch, it never budged. Only took a few swings for me to realize it was not coming out using. It will need to be fixtured solidly with a very heavy fixture to minimize distortion. Expect each weld to shrink about 1/16 inch and fixture accordingly. The metal can be expected to have a high CE, preheat to 500 deg. F and maintain this preheat while welding.
