However, on the 16” vs 20” question, go 20” because the 16” with Mid-Length gas has been problematic. The muzzle stops and starts quickly and breaking the trigger on target then getting back on target is no real challenge, especially considering the chambering. Glad it's working out for you, but the sfar concept is redundant I feel. Doesn't save weight nor lop/oal. If sfar was an in between the 15 and 10 as far as cartridge length/mag size goes, then yes it would be a good concept (I feel that way anyway). The sfar is really a niche AR10. If you want something lightweight but possibly more fragile and higher recoil then that’s for you. Remember Ruger made this specifically to make it more AR15 like and much lighter. I haven’t shot a PSA AR10, but I do have a PSA AR15. They are great for the price, and I haven’t had an issue with my 15.
