An easier way of achieving auto-shock is to use choir of the storm with 100% crit chance for lightning conduit. I ran a Hidden Blade/Mjolner Lightning Conduit Inquisitor last league, using Storm Brand in Mjolner which was automated with Hidden Blade. I am currently running a self-shock Lightning Conduit Raider, using Malachai's Loop + Ralakesh's Impatience to inflict a self-shock which is proliferated with the Fury of Nature forbidden jewels.Base damage for shock nova and lightning conduit are now about the same. 75% shock = 300% more damage on lightning conduit, but shock nova hits twice on single target. So at double the trigger rate, shock nova does the same damage as lightning conduit - and doesn't rely on hitting your main target with a 75% shock.
