I've cleaned connections on the harness for the cam, air, and coolant sensor. Wiring looks OK to me other than the tightness of it and exposure where the brittle plastic loom disintegrated.The code displayed was P0340. I also hooked up an analyzer and it showed a P0340 (No Cam Signal At PCM) and a P1391 (Intermittent Loss of CMP or CKP). I went to the Jeep dealer parts dept and bought a new camshaft position sensor. The cost was $36.95. The part number is: 56041584AF. This is a genuine Chrysler part.The FIX: IMO: If you want the fix for sure get a BRAND NEW cam sensor and a cam sensor magnet from the dealer for the P0344 fix but with the P0340 and P0344 codes replace the crank sensor also, I had luck with that about a year ago.
