When someone stumbles upon your barrel full of landmines they aren't going to think you're good. They're going to know that you duped it, take one and dump the rest on the ground. Moral of the story. Cheating is wrong. When you start winning fights cause you've got mountains of gear, wall breaching or are invisible.

When I finally realised how incredibly easy it was to dupe items after seeing a group do it I was flabbergasted, and like you suddenly the apparent ease with which groups were 'gearing up' suddenly made sense. 1) Start login timer and click esc to instantly stop it. 2) wait 3 seconds, start logout timer, instantly suspect dayz through resource monitor. 3) wait 8 seconds, resume dayz, cancel the timer, then start the timer. 4) wait until you're logged out. 5) spam log back in.strange glitch me & some friends found out. No. Duping is still entirely possible on PC, but it relies on crashing the server. As the server is largely stable to client exploits that cause crashes, the only people capable of duping reliably are typically those with admin access to the server. If you want to find something really useful, study the game code manually. P.S Well, for the sake of fairness, it must be said that nothing is impossible. There was an old one that involved exploiting the trader mod but it was patched. There has always been duping for consoles using netcut.

Here are a few reasons I know for sure why people dupe and some guesses as to why they dupe. From my own personal experience. Base building takes forever to find tools, mats, etc. Duping mats reduces the amount of laps (loot cycling) you would have to take at a construction sight. Let's say I'm a straight PvP player.
Is the dupe fixed on ps4/5? console. Hi guys, I have been playing the game every day for months and since the recent update I have noticed that there are less “dupers” on the game. Having at least 5-10 PVP matchups per day. And since the last update, 1.23, I have noticed that there are fewer of these players, having found only 3 or 4.80% of the servers got the new anti dupe script making it impossible to dupe.but for the ones that dont, the usual ways still work. This makes me laugh, "Impossible" sounds like a lack of effort on your part or just believing whatever Server Admins tell you.
