If there isn't an obvious problem, it's likely best to source another transmission. If you loosen either of the two bolts for the reverse gear shaft, you'll need to reapply sealant when reinstalling. However make sure it is a GL-4 75w90 gear oil. Do not use a GL-5 oil in the transmission. While we're at it, the differential takes a 75w90 GL-5 gear oil. Many prefer the Red Line 75w90. The 75w90NS can only be used in a non-LSD unit.
