My choice for my swap is a bolt on bellhousing 4L60E from a 2002 full sized 2wd Silverado. My 98 s10 SS that got totaled was a fun to drive with its 220 hp. 4.3L and 3.42's. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of pull with only the 220 hp. The 2000 I'm doing is a revamped L33 with a Elgin cam and a 2200-2500 stall and 3.73 gears.
