I'm trying to figure out the age of this revolver, serial number is 1K15XXX. Best I can tell from Google this is circa 1970.Open the cylinder, and look at the stampings in the frame; it should say "MOD 30-1". If there are numbers above or below this stamping, they are just factory assembly numbers. The side of the barrel should be stamped "32 S&W Long". A factory letter from Smith & Wesson can pin down the exact ship date, but yours was most probably manufactured ...
