Like the military armory will give you hundreds, if not thousands of boxes of ammo. The island with one bridge, its middle bottom of the map just below the bridge connecting east and west sides of the island. Lots of trees, one way in and out, has a cabin. Normally only a handful of zeds you can clear quick. And even then there isn’t that much of that. There are many zombies dressed in military uniforms, but in the base there is no area with weapons. So in my opinion the loot there is not worth the amount of zombies. I am relatively new to the game and my longest run yet was ruined by having a desire to explore that base.
