Late to the party but great write up! I have the P322, the 502, and both flavors of TX22. The Taurus' and the Sig have been rock solid (granted they all had a few hick-ups) but between the 3 they have probably eaten over 2000 rounds with maybe 10 to 15 FTFs and duds (and no baths) both suppressed and un-suppressed. ...

The TX22 is better if you’re on a budget but the P322’s extra cost is justified with some better features and much better customer support with Sig. It may be strange to hear, but the Taurus TX22 is the gun that these both of these are compared to. What I've found myself is the TX is a bit more reliable out of the box and is a bit more accurate than the P322. Light strikes, especially with Aguila, are fairly common .with the 322 and not with the TX.SIG P322 VS FN 502 TACTICAL FIRST 50 ROUND HEAD TO HEADR 22/45 - great trigger and very accurate! The P322 does have the optic cut. I added a dovetail mount optic plate to my tx22. I have holosun 507k's on both. The P322 has a rectangular steel insert that houses the firing pin, This includes the breech face. It is not user removable.
